Global Toxins

Without exception, every person in the western world now has in his or her tissues 300-500 known toxins that were not in existence before 1940. So, where has all the poison come from?

Our Food is Not Enough

Why are the essential micronutrients missing from most of our fruits and vegetables? The food chain existing in what is now a largely urban society has become deficient in essential molecules. I’m healthy, Why Should I Take These?

Causes of ill health are nutritional, environmental or lifestyle related. . . The Journal of Nutritional and Environmental Medicine has published a position paper titled Effective Nutritional Medicine: The Application of Nutrition to Major Health Problems. Within this paper is a response by the British Society for Nutritional Medicine to the document Health of the Nation.

"There is a great body of evidence - convincing, scientific evidence - which clearly shows that nutritional, environmental and lifestyle related factors contribute to present day diseases to a much greater degree and to a much wider extent than is generally realised. Much of this is detailed, specific evidence and information which enables specific actions to be taken now. It cannot be ignored and should be acted upon immediately."

Optimal health is needed for not only proper immune and endocrine function but is mandatory for the function of the Central Nervous System, more specifically the brain. "The brain is energy-dependent. Although comprising only about 2% of body weight, approximately, it consumes around 25% of resting metabolic energy and receives 15% of cardiac output. Neurons in the cerebral cortex are, by reason of their complexity and multiple inter-connections, even more energy dependent. It is therefore expected that any impairment of energy metabolism will hit first cells such as these. An impairment of intracellular levels of any one or more micronutrients may significantly interfere with energy production and therefore damage first the functioning of the cerebral cortex."


What about our children?
